Hey girl Hey!

I’m Bri!

fat loss coach|business analyst| Mom

I’m a mom, blogger and fat loss coach educating busy moms on how their metabolism works and taking them from hiding in baggy clothes to flexing in the mirror when they walk by.

My courses and cookbooks have helped hundreds of women ditch the diet, heal their metabolism and live a life of flexibility on their fat loss journey. They do all of this while balancing the chaos of motherhood and working full time.

A little about me…

I am a wife to my wonderful husband Matt and a mama to our son Kashtyn. I work a full-time job as Business Analyst for a Fortune 250 financial company. It’s a demanding job that keeps me on my toes but I love the challenges and level of critical thinking that I have to use in the role.

I at my happiest when I am blogging, cooking, learning and spending time with my family! I am constantly thinking of new ideas and ways I can use my talents to help others.

My husband are avid concert-goers and we actually attended 18 last year alone while I was pregnant! We love Texas Country and seeing up and coming artists that haven’t hit mainstream radio.

In my rare free time I enjoy reading spicy romance novels, especially anything by Brittney Sahin. I also enjoy reading Self Development books. I strongly encourage you to check out Broadcasting Happiness by Michele Gilean for a complete mindset shift in your life..

I went from constantly obsessed with weight loss to living a life of food freedom. I now teach busy moms how to do the same.

I probably started right where you are.

I kept wondering why I couldn’t seem to lose the weight no matter how hard I tried. Constantly going through phases of trying to lose weight and then giving up and gaining at all back.

I played softball in college and was a catcher. This led to additional weight lifting, practice and bullpens on top of that. At this point I was probably burning well over 3,500 calories a day. And let’s be honest, I was at McDonald’s 3x a week and don’t even get me started on monopoly at McDonalds. When I graduated and moved on from collegiate athletics I was still eating like I burned 3500 calories a day. I got Starbucks 6 out of 7 days of the week like clockwork. This led to putting on 20 lbs in less than 6 months.

This is when I started dieting for the first time. I quickly lost 10lbs because it was the first time I had ever dieted in  my life. At the time I followed the container system but little did I know I was had severely cut my calories. After 2 months this was no longer sustainable and I gained all the weight back.

Over the years I followed the same cycle, find a new diet, restrict my calories, give up after 2 months of not seeing progress and gain it all back. I denied myself treats during the week and on the weekends ended up binging. A cheat meal turned into a cheat day and into a cheat week until I was no longer even paying attention to what I ate.

I would eat to handle my feelings, eat to celebrate occasions, and eat past full just because something tasted good. And don’t even get me started on my Mountain Dew addiction.

This led me to my heaviest weight right when I got pregnant with our son. I was extremely nauseous in the beginning and the only thing I ate was pasta. It was the only thing I could stomach at the time. Then at 28 weeks pregnant I had my dreaded glucose test. And I failed, and ended up being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. I started learning how to listen to my body’s cues, pay attention to how certain foods balanced my blood sugar, and educating myself on proper nutrition

This set me up for success post-partum. I used the things I learned and started building sustainable habits. Once I got out of survival mode, I started working out slowly with modifications. My workouts were my only alone time every day so i looked forward to them. After I went back to work I started focusing on my water intake and intentional movement by adding in daily walks. Then at 6 months postpartum I started tracking what I ate.

I started in a calorie deficit and lost 58 pounds. I am now in my reverse diet and am down 62lbs total and 5 pant sizes. I enjoy treats frequently, know that I don’t have to “make up” for a higher calorie meal and still enjoy all of my favorite foods, and I’m here to teach you how to do the same!
